The New Street Station designed by Foreign Office Architects in Birmingham, UK. Plans for the reconstruction of the great New Street Station in Birmingham, England, have been revealed. Foreign Office Architects have been awarded the international design competition coordinated by the RIBA, on behalf of the funding partners. The final design was chosen from 48 entries by a panel of representatives from each of the funding agencies, chaired by Sir Bernard Zissman. The list includes the plans submitted by UN Studio, Rafael Vinoly Architects, LAB Architecture Studio, IDOM UK Ltd and the study of the crab.
